The sibling sport to hurling – Ireland’s national game – camogie is spreading around the world. Grassroots clubs are forming in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia. The following brief video reports were produced by Jerome Quinn Media for the Camogie Association:

Hey girls.
I am not living in New york at the moment, I am still back home in Ireland. I have been playing camogie for ten years and love every minute of it!
I am moving to new york next November for a year and would absolutely love if there was a camogie team I could join! I think its a great idea!!!

Dear Petrina & Aimee:
Great to hear from you and happy belated New Year! In order to get camogie off the ground this year under the Hoboken Hurling Club umbrella, we need players like yourself to help us recruit girls who, like yourselves, plan on being over in the summer. It is a project in the works.
Please email me at as we get sorted, so I can jot down when you will be on this side of the pond. With more than 40 hurlers on our two hurling teams, more than 230 facebook supporters, our club is the most growing Irish and non-Irish born hurling club in the Northeast USA, not only the New York area. The only way we’ll be able to field a camogie team is if girls like yourself spread the word on behalf of our club back home. We’ll have ladies-specific camogie kits/jersey and helmets for you to use. Bring your hurleys if you have them!
