The 2011 Hoboken Guards Hurling Club will tune up for the 2011 New York Gaelic Athletic Association season entering a team in the NYGAA Junior Hurling 7′s Tournament on Sunday April 10th, held in Orangeburg N.Y., the home of the Rockland GAA.
Other clubs entering teams include Allentown P.A. (two teams), Limerick/Westmeath, Rockland and the Shannon Gaels.
Games will last 20 minutes, 10 minute halves, with one minute halftimes. First game is slated for 12:30, the final is pegged at 4:45. With seven guys per side on a full Irish length hurling pitch, they’ll be some striking and running in Rockland! Food and refreshments will be provided.
